A communication workshop was conducted by Metamorphosis on the topic of conflict, democracy and people’s voice with the students of mass communication at the University of Kashmir, in September 2006. The focus was on the issues of human rights violation, identity and citizenship and the identity of ‘half widows’ through comics.

At the University of Jammu, a communication workshop was conducted on the issue of women and children with the students of Gandhi Nagar College during September 2006. The subjects that were discussed included unemployment, violence and human rights.

The ’Beyond Borders’ program was a workshop on film-making involving 32 college students. The film titled ‘Conversations’ dealt with issues like identity, diversity and active citizenship.

This regional workshop for Children’s Media Initiative was conducted during July 2005 to further child rights in South and Central Asia. Young people from five countries participated in this workshop. The aim of the workshop was to provide capacity building on photojournalism. An exhibition of the photographs taken by the participants was also held.
